Redwood Elementary is proud to be a Dual Language Immersion Program for the past 4 years.  Our Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program is designed to prepare students for success in a global society by promoting bilingualism, biliteracy, and sociocultural competence. This program provides English Learners and monolingual students with the opportunity to become proficient in both English and a partner language, such as Spanish, through grade-level content and literacy instruction. The DLI program is a two-way immersion model, where half of the students are native speakers of the partner language and the other half are native English speakers.
