Attendance Matters

At Redwood, we have observed a significant increase in early student checkouts. While we understand that occasional early departures are sometimes necessary, we kindly request that students remain in school for the entire day unless it is an emergency. Currently, over 50 early checkouts have been recorded, leading to a loss of valuable instructional time.

Research consistently shows that regular attendance is a key factor in student success. Ensuring your child stays in school for the full day helps maximize learning opportunities and supports their academic growth. Thank you for working with us to prioritize education and provide every student with the foundation they need to thrive!

Missing just two days per month can negatively affect academic performance. We encourage families to help improve attendance by utilizing Saturday School opportunities and scheduling medical appointments outside of school hours whenever possible. Thank you for your continued support in helping us ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed!

Students are expected to be in their classrooms by 8:45 a.m. For your convenience, the school and cafeteria open at 8:00 a.m. The first bell rings at 8:40 a.m. as a warning, signaling that there are five minutes remaining before class begins. Students entering the gate after 8:45 a.m. will receive a tardy slip.  If you student will be absent, please contact our office at (909)357-5740.
